I woke up Saturday dreading the rain. I personally don't mind it but it's obviously not ideal for your wedding day. As soon as I got to the church Hannah gave me a huge hug and said "I'm so excited for the rain!" Let me tell you, that set the tone for the day. It was wet and there was a Tornado Watch at one point but the sun peeked out occasionally and no one batted an eye at the weather. There is so much joy and love between Hannah and Simon, you barely even noticed the rain.

The Ceremony

John R Mulder Chapel
This Chapel was so classic and clean and bright! It had beautiful stained glass watercolors over giant windows. The ceremony didn't leave many dry eyes which seemed to be a running theme for the day. Happy tears of course!
The Venue

Port 393
This is a fairly new Venue in Holland, MI and I was impressed! The staff was friendly and the place was immaculately clean. It was the perfect space for their reception and kept us dry, until we went out for a few rain pics of course. A little bit of classic modern mixed with industrial definitely makes it one of the tops on my favorite venues list!
The Cupcakes

Pink Slip Cakery
I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Lisa, as she set up the cupcakes. She is so sweet! (pun intended!) She told what all the different cupcake flavors were and wouldn't you know, the only one I remembered was the Butterfinger one! Haha, yum!
The Mother-Son Dance

Yes, this gets it's own shout out! I have seen many choreographed dances at Weddings. Each is fun and unique and I love them. That being said, I will NEVER forget these two. This was the most magnificent thing I have witnessed in my entire life. (I might be exaggerating just a touch) I could do an entire blog of pictures just from this dance. They were having a blast, everyone was having a blast. I was cracking up so much so that I can't believe the pictures didn't come out blurry. Bravo to Diane and Simon!
The Fun Stuff
This day, I can't think of any other way to describe it than PURE JOY. Happiness and Love RADIATED from everyone who attended. I am beyond grateful I was witness to it.
